The right address

Lunch well on the Butte

Between two Montmartre lanes, you quickly look for a table that beats a sandwich eaten standing up. At Berchoux, lunch is real market cooking, prepared that very morning in our kitchen in the 18th.

It's a neighbourhood canteen where you eat well without losing your afternoon: a simple welcome, quick service and a menu that follows the seasons rather than a fixed all-year card.

The lunch set

A lunch that gets to the point

At midday, you want to eat well, fast and right. Here is how lunch works at Berchoux, from produce to service.

01

In season

The daily menu is written after the market: bowls, hot dishes and generous sandwiches change with what comes in, never fixed from one week to the next.

02

Homemade

Everything is cooked on site that very morning, from raw produce and specialty bread from Bun's Bakery. No reheated dish out of a box.

03

Quick at noon

A service built for the lunch break: you order, you're served fast, you leave on time without eating just anything.

04

Eat in or takeaway

Enjoy it in the dining room with its canteen feel, or take it away for lunch on a bench, overlooking the rooftops of Montmartre.

Why have lunch here

01

Real flavour

A dish cooked that very morning has nothing to do with an industrial lunch: more freshness, more flavour, cooking you can feel is alive.

02

Nothing goes to waste

Our cooking is anti-waste: we use the whole produce and adjust quantities day by day, for a smart and generous lunch.

03

Easy flexitarian

Vegetables take pride of place, with meat and fish alongside. Everyone builds a lunch that suits them, without making life complicated.

On the plate

Bowls, dish of the day and sandwiches

At lunch you'll find well-filled seasonal bowls, a dish of the day that changes each midday and generous sandwiches built on Bun's Bakery bread.

And to finish on a sweet note, a few homemade desserts, including our carrot cake made on site: the little treat that turns a lunch break into a real pause.

The chef

Thirty years of stars, a neighbourhood lunch

Julie Berchoux spent thirty years in Michelin-starred kitchens, alongside houses such as Robuchon, Ducasse, Taillevent and Fauchon, before opening her Montmartre canteen.

That rigour is what she now puts into everyday lunch: the same respect for produce as in fine dining, at the service of market cooking you simply enjoy at midday.
